Don’t have enough magnetic boards or trays for your class? No worries!
Don’t forget that cheap cookie trays work just as well. What I love about them is that they have just the right amount of ledge around them to prevent the letters from falling off. This makes them great for students to use anywhere, including on their laps. You can use them to put letters in order, build CVC words and sight words, or practice spelling words. The possibilities are endless.
What other ways do you like to build words in your classroom?
As always, happy teaching!
